33-year old Santa Rosa woman arrested for DUI

On Thursday night, 33-year-old Angela Marie Angerman was arrested by the police on suspicion of driving while intoxicated after she crashed her vehicle into a residence in Santa Rosa.

According to the police, Angerman was released from lockup at around 1 p.m. on Thursday. Police said that she is on felony probation for a theft crime and her probation conditions don’t allow her to consume alcohol.

Police reported that around 9:50 p.m., police officers received a call and responded to a report of a car that had crashed into the side of a residence in the 1600 block of Keoke Court in northern Santa Rosa.

Angerman, who is also known as Angela Paetz, tried to reverse a silver 1998 Ford Mustang out of a residential driveway on Keoke Court, but collided into the side of a car that was parked on the street. She then pressed the accelerator of the car to drive forward and slammed into a tree in the front lawn of the residence before striking the east wall of the same home with the vehicle according to the investigation team.

When the crash occurred, the residence was empty and police said that the residence was damaged by the collision. No one was injured in the accident.

After the accident, the incident was investigated and police officers searched for the Ford Mustang that was involved in the crash. Officers found the damaged car parked nearby on State Farm Drive with punctured tires. Officers also saw Angerman walking away from the car pretending it was not her car.

Police determined that Angerman was under the influence of alcohol and she was taken into custody. She was charged for DUI and for violation of her probation. Police told that Angerman’s BAC level was double than the legal limit.

Anyone who was present at the scene of the accident when it happened or has any information related to the crash can contact police at (707) 543-3636.
